Pattaya, a seaside resort on the bad reputation, is located about 150 kilometers south of Bangkok.
Pattaya keeps a bad reputation for a long time yet this track has changed a lot over the years. While most European vacationers choose some islands like Phuket or Koh Samui, Pattaya good care benefits with a micro climate, rainfall and the monsoon is less severe than elsewhere.

For those who want to discover Bangkok but also relax a few days on the islands nearby, Pattaya remains a homeport interesting. Bangkok can be accessed by bus for less than 150 baht but also take a taxi up to 2,000 baht. It will take 2 to 3 hours depending on the type of transport, except with the train at the moment (a fast train is planned). Bangkok and Pattaya are connected by a highway, it is very convenient.

Beach Pattaya Beach is some 4 kilometers long, this beach faces Pattaya Bay. A succession of boutiques, shops, beauty salons, supermarkets, shopping malls, bars, restaurants, hotels line the beach. It lacks nothing, there is everything.
Regulation had to be flexible because there is not a building that resembles each other. Traffic is sometimes difficult, especially in high season (December to April). You will find Central Festival, a large modern shopping center with all major brands and restaurants galore.

A 4 kilometers south of Pattaya, there is Jomtien Beach, it is 6 km long. Jomtien is also a major residential area with more and more of apartment buildings.

Many Europeans live here 4-6 months of the year. They spend the winter here, this is the season when the weather is nicer (no or very little rain and comfortable temperatures) and summer in Europe. A particularly economical, as the price of rentals and meals are more than reasonable. The people of Bangkok are the main buyers of these apartments. There are of course many hotels and restaurants including French and Italian pretty good.
